Pre-Shipment Quality Inspection Coordination

Pre-Shipment Quality Inspection Coordination in China

Jinghang coordinates pre-shipment quality inspection for overseas businesses against a scope agreed with the client. Depending on the project, checks may include quantity, packaging, labeling, visible defects, photo or video records, and loading supervision where applicable.

The client decides whether to request rework, arrange reinspection, or release the shipment after reviewing the findings.

Inspection support at a glance

Document agreed observable findings before shipment.

The method, scope, sampling approach, criteria, evidence, provider, timing, responsibilities, and fee are confirmed before inspection.

01

Possible checks

Quantity, packaging, labels, visible defects, photo or video records, and loading supervision where applicable and agreed.

02

Execution path

Routine agreed checks may be handled by Jinghang's team; paid third-party professional or independent inspection may be coordinated when required.

03

Final decision

The client retains product-acceptance and shipment-release authority after reviewing the findings.

01 · Before release

Arrange agreed checks before goods enter international logistics.

Inspection may be useful when written order requirements should be observed before the client releases cargo.

Common reasons to request inspection

  • Check quantity, packaging, labeling, or visible product condition against agreed references
  • Record agreed photo or video evidence
  • Observe known product or order risk points
  • Coordinate loading supervision when operationally applicable
  • Support a client decision on rework, reinspection, or shipment release
Scheduling boundary Timing depends on goods readiness, product and order requirements, factory location and access, provider availability, and requested evidence. No universal booking lead time, inspection duration, or report time is promised.

02 · Prepare

The inspection can only be as clear as the approved references.

Send the available order, product, factory, timing, checklist, and evidence requirements.

Information to prepare

  • Purchase order or order reference, SKU list, quantities, supplier contact, and factory location
  • Goods-ready date, target shipment timing, and loading date if applicable
  • Specifications, drawings, photos, or an approved reference sample where available
  • Packaging, labeling, quantity, and visible-quality requirements
  • Requested sampling or coverage approach and defect or decision criteria
  • Photo, video, or other evidence requirements and whether professional or independent inspection is needed
  • The client contact responsible for reviewing findings and deciding release
Input boundary This is preparation guidance, not a universal mandatory form. Final inputs depend on the product, order quantity, risk, location, requested checks, and execution method.

03 · Define

Agree checklist, method, evidence, provider, and decision rights first.

Checks are performed only within the confirmed project scope.

How the scope is agreed

  1. Confirm the order, SKU, quantity, factory, readiness, specification, and approved reference.
  2. Define observable quantity, packaging, labeling, visible-defect, evidence, and loading points.
  3. Agree the method, sampling or coverage approach, sample size, and defect criteria.
  4. Agree the required findings, photographs, videos, or exception records.
  5. Confirm the execution party, access, timing, supervision needs, responsibilities, and fee.
  6. Identify the client decision-maker for rework, reinspection, or release.
No universal standard There is no single inspection method, sampling standard, sample size, or defect threshold that applies to every product and order.

04 · Execute

Routine checks and independent inspection are different services.

The agreed provider and responsibilities are disclosed before inspection.

Routine agreed checks by Jinghang's team

Jinghang's own team may handle routine checks agreed with the client. These checks are not described as certified, independent, professional third-party, or laboratory inspection.

Paid third-party professional or independent inspection

When the product or client requirement calls for professional or independent inspection, Jinghang can coordinate a paid third-party professional provider. The provider, required qualifications, method, evidence, timing, and fee are reviewed and confirmed first.

Collaboration model Jinghang combines its own team and third-party providers according to project needs. Do not assume every inspection is in-house or every project requires a third party.

05 · Observe

Possible checks are conditional, not fixed inclusions.

Only relevant, observable, available, and agreed items enter the checklist.

  • Quantity checks against the agreed order information and counting method
  • Packaging checks against the client-approved checklist
  • Labeling checks against the client-provided reference
  • Visible-defect checks within the agreed sample and criteria
  • Photo or video records where included and available under inspection conditions
  • Loading supervision where operationally applicable, available, requested, and agreed
Limits A packaging check does not guarantee damage-free transport. Visible checks are not laboratory testing, engineering validation, certification, or proof of every unit's condition.

06 · Decide

Findings support the client's release decision.

The evidence format is tied to the agreed checklist, method, and inspected sample.

When issues are found

  1. Communicate the agreed observations, evidence, and unresolved points.
  2. Coordinate the supplier response where included in scope.
  3. Receive the client's instruction to request rework, arrange reinspection, or release the shipment.
  4. Confirm any additional work, changed timing, provider, responsibilities, and fees before proceeding.
Reporting boundary There is no universal report template, pass certificate, live-video service, reporting field set, or fixed reporting time promised for every project. Inspection cannot identify every defect or eliminate product and commercial risk.

07 · Connect

Use inspection as one decision gate in the wider workflow.

Each connected stage has its own scope and approval point.

  1. The client confirms product requirements, supplier, and approved reference.
  2. Jinghang coordinates the agreed pre-shipment scope and execution party.
  3. The provider communicates findings and evidence within scope.
  4. The client makes the release decision.
  5. Separately agreed collection, consolidation, cargo preparation, and international delivery may follow.

Direct answers

Quality inspection questions

Every answer is subject to the agreed product, method, sample, evidence, and provider.

What is a pre-shipment quality inspection?

It is an agreed set of checks performed before shipment to document observable findings against the client's requirements. The method, sample, checklist, evidence, provider, and decision criteria are confirmed for the specific project.

What can be checked before shipment?

Depending on the agreed scope, checks may include quantity, packaging, labeling, visible defects, photo or video records, and loading supervision where applicable. No item is assumed to be included until the scope is confirmed.

What information do you need before arranging an inspection?

Provide the order or SKU list, quantities, factory location, goods-ready date, product specifications or approved reference, requested checklist and defect criteria, sampling or coverage expectations, evidence requirements, and loading-supervision request if applicable.

Who performs the inspection?

Routine checks agreed with the client may be handled by Jinghang's team. When professional or independent inspection is required, Jinghang can coordinate a paid third-party professional provider. The provider and responsibilities are confirmed before inspection.

How are sampling and defect criteria chosen?

They are agreed case by case based on the product, order quantity, risk profile, location, and client requirements. Jinghang does not publish one universal sampling standard, sample size, or defect threshold for every project.

What findings or evidence will I receive?

You receive the findings and evidence agreed for the project. These may include records of quantities, packaging, labels, visible findings, photographs, videos, or loading observations. The exact format and timing are confirmed before inspection.

What happens if issues are found?

Jinghang can communicate the findings and coordinate supplier follow-up within the agreed scope. The client decides whether to request rework, arrange reinspection, or release the shipment. Additional work, timing, and fees are confirmed separately.

Can packaging, labels, or loading be checked?

They may be included when relevant, observable, operationally applicable, and agreed in advance. A packaging check does not guarantee damage-free transportation. Loading supervision is available only when operationally applicable and agreed in advance.

Is product inspection the same as a factory audit or laboratory test?

No. Pre-shipment inspection observes agreed product, quantity, packaging, labeling, or loading points within the confirmed scope. Factory auditing, laboratory testing, engineering validation, certification, and regulatory approval are different activities and are not implied by this service.

Does inspection guarantee that every unit is defect-free?

No. Inspection is limited by the agreed method, sample, checklist, access, timing, and observable conditions. It can reduce uncertainty but cannot guarantee every unit, identify every defect, or guarantee product quality or commercial results.
